ONE SPOT LEFT!

Join this workshop and take a moment for yourself.

A moment of stillness and reflection to light your way forward and illuminate your goals.

Sunday, 19 January
13:30 - 16:30 (3 hours)
1400 CZK
Studio Naplno, Prague

This workshop is crafted specifically for burlesque artists to re-center, re-group, and gently explore their desires and intentions, and release any limiting beliefs that no longer serve their journey.

As burlesque artists, we are constantly in motion—creating, connecting, learning, securing bookings, and demanding both physical and mental endurance from ourselves. Even in our love for the art, we can sometimes drift from our purpose, our joy, and our "why." This workshop is an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to remember the dreams that first ignited your passion.

Embrace this moment and opportunity to slow down, breathe, nurture your spirit, and consciously consider your dreams and aspirations, map a plan, and put the wheels of manifestation in motion.

What is Cacao and a Cacao Ceremony?

  • Cacao is the pure, raw form of chocolate, made from the seeds of the cacao tree. It's less processed than typical chocolate and maintains a higher concentration of antioxidants, minerals (like magnesium), and mood-enhancing compounds. Unlike cocoa (which is often heated, refined, and sometimes has sugar added), cacao retains most of its natural nutrients and has a strong, earthy, slightly bitter taste.

  • A cacao ceremony is a ritualistic gathering that uses cacao mixed into a warm beverage to support heart-opening, healing, and inner reflection. Originally practiced by ancient Mesoamerican cultures like the Mayans and Aztecs, cacao ceremonies have been modernized and are now found worldwide.

  • In a typical cacao ceremony:

    • Participants drink ceremonial-grade cacao, a rich paste mixed with hot water, sometimes spiced with ingredients like cinnamon, cayenne, or vanilla.

    • The group usually sits in a circle, and a facilitator may lead guided meditations, breathwork or gentle movement to help participants connect with themselves and each other.

    • The ceremony is often set with an intention, such as self-love, gratitude, or healing, encouraging participants to reflect on their thoughts, emotions, and goals.

  • Drinking cacao can have a mild mood-enhancing effect, mainly due to its natural compounds like theobromine (a gentle stimulant) and phenylethylamine (associated with feelings of love and happiness). Many people feel a subtle emotional opening or clarity during the ceremony, which can make the experience meditative and insightful.

  • Cacao is not psychedelic, so it doesn't induce hallucinations or altered states. However, it’s known to stimulate blood flow, improve mood, and increase feelings of empathy, which is why it’s often called a "heart-opening" medicine.
